“Niña Bonita,” released in 2023, becomes Sean Paul’s first win at the Latin American Music Award with Colombian singer Feid.
The song seized the title for “Collaboration Crossover of the Year” at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards ceremony held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 25.

“Niña Bonita” emerged victorious, marking a significant milestone in Sean Paul’s ambitions to bride the gap between Dancehall and reggaton.

He was also nominated for ‘Best Crossover Artist,’ but Marshmello won that award. He is the first Jamaican artist to win a Latin America Music Award. In 2015 Shaggy performed at the Latin American Music Awards with Farruko.
Just this week, Sean made his first entry at #46 on the U.S. Billboard Afrobeats Chart dated April 27, 2024, with Hold On, a collaboration with Nigerian singer Young Jonn.
The song produced by Telz, is from Young Jonn’s debut album Jiggy Forever (Chocolate City Music), which was released on April 12th.
“Niña Bonita,” soared to the top spot on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart in August, marking Feid’s fourth No. 1 hit and Sean Paul’s return to the summit after six years. It is Sean Paul’s second Spanglish collaboration to claim the No. 1 spot, following his feature on Enrique Iglesias’s “Súbeme La Radio” in 2017.
Karol G and Feid emerged were the top winners at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards held in Las Vegas. Despite Karol’s absence from the ceremony, she clinched six awards, including Artist of the Year for three years on a row and Album of the Year for her acclaimed record “Mañana Será Bonito.” Feid also secured six awards, notably earning Streaming Artist of the Year and delivering a special tribute performance alongside Farruko and Jay Wheeler dedicated to Yandel, who received the Latin AMA Pioneer Award for his groundbreaking contributions to reggaeton.
The night was filled with electrifying performances and premieres, including Marc Anthony’s new single “Ale Ale” from his latest album “Muevense.” Thalia, along with presenters Alejandra Espinoza and Carlos Ponce, hosted the event, while Becky G joined as a host announced just days before the show.
Karol G’s anthem “TQG,” shared with Shakira, also won Song of the Year, adding to her impressive accolades.
