Flippa Mafia, born Andrew Davis, who served over nine years of a 25-year sentence and completed his education while in prison says he is in the process of making a documentary on his life. The “Flossing King” deejay did his first interview with Jai Frais of the Let’s Be Honest Podcast since his October 2022 release, where he disclosed his future plans to stay out of trouble and capitalize on the story of his colorful life.

“I am the happiest man, weh me a come from and weh me go through and especially being in America, God bless America,” he says, adding “Thank you Judge.” All through the interview he maintained his innocence and dispelled rumors that he ratted on his cronies.

A multi-agency investigation by the New Jersey State Police, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Division Of Criminal Justice  titled “Operation Next Day Air” lead to Davis conviction on December 17, 2015 for possession of a dangerous and controlled substance in the form of cocaine, conspiracy to distribute a dangerous substance and money laundering.

“Andrew Davis thought he could live the good life in Jamaica with the hundreds of thousands of dollars he and his brothers reaped by shipping cocaine from California into New Jersey,” said Acting Attorney General Lougy after Flippa was sentenced. “His big mistake was underestimating how far we would go with our law enforcement partners to bring them to justice and stop them from trafficking their poison into our communities.”

Law enforcement describes Flippa as a major playing in the drug trafficking game.

“Andrew Davis should have stuck with his music career instead of shipping cocaine, because now he`ll be performing in the prison hall instead of dance halls,” said Colonel Rick Fuentes, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police.

The also state presented testimony and evidence at trial that his then girlfriend received large shipments of cocaine in New Jersey and distributed them to other drug traffickers under the direction of Davis. His two brothers who were part of this drug trafficking network also pleaded guilty.

Deputy Attorney General Julia S. Glass and Deputy Attorney General Erik Daab, who is Deputy Bureau Chief, tried the case for the Division of Criminal Justice Gangs & Organized Crime Bureau. Deputy Attorney General Glass handled today’s sentencing.

Detectives recovered more than 26 kilograms of cocaine, worth more than $960,000, two handguns, and more than $500,000 in cash.

In total 7 persons were sentence in “Operation Next Day Air.”

“We now have put seven defendants behind bars for lengthy terms in Operation Next Day Air, and three members of the family that ran this cocaine ring also are facing long prison sentences,” said Director Elie Honig of the Division of Criminal Justice. “We’ll continue to work with our state and federal partners to target these major drug trafficking syndicates that are supplying New Jersey’s drug dealers.”

“The dismantlement of this international drug trafficking organization is a great success for law enforcement, and our communities are safer as a result of this investigation,” said Carl J. Kotowski, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration, New Jersey Division. “The DEA and our law enforcement partners will continue to pursue drug violators wherever the investigation leads us.”

Flippa was also charged with leading a narcotics trafficking network, but the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict on that charge.
