Burna Boy moves up in ranks on Billboard’s Year End Top U.S. Afrobeats Artist for 2023 to No. 1 after securing the No. 2 spot last year.
The Nigerian singer’s latest hit ‘Sittin’ On Top of The World” featuring 21 Savage debuts at; No. 19 on Billboard’s Year-End Rhythmic AirPlay Songs and No. 28 on Billboard’s Year-End mainstream HipHop/R&B AirPlay Songs chart.

Rema made his debut on the Billboard Year-End Hot 100 artist chart at No. 31 and No. 16 on the Year-End Canadian Hot 100 artist chart. The only African artist to make the latter. His hit with Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down” ranks at #1 on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Song chart along with “Charm” at #29 and “Soundgasm” at #41.
“Calm Down” is #2 on the Canadian Hot 100 Year End and #6 on the US Hot 100 Year End chart and it is the year’s #1 male/female collaboration. The song was No. 1 for an impressive 58 weeks on the weekly Afrobeats Songs chart, and stayed in the top ten for a full year on the Hot 100 along with significant contributions to the ascent of Afrobeats across various Billboard charts. Rema’s certified Platinum album “Rave & Roses” ranks at No. 157 on the Billboard 200 Year-End Chart and No. 28 on the Top Canadian Album chart becoming the first album by a Nigerian act to make the Hot 100 charts.
Tems is Billboard’s No. 1 Adult R&B Airplay Artists on the year-end chart. She also claims the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop airplay artists year-end chart and No. 7 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay artists year-end chart.
Although the Nigerian singer didn’t release an album this year, she had several hits on the Year-End Charts: “Free Mind” secured the #3 position on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. The song is also No. 1 on both the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Adult R&B Airplay lists.
Her song “Damages,” at No. 28 on the Year-End Afrobeats Songs, “Higher,” claimed No. 9, “Found” at No. 50. “Replay” and “The Key” secured the No. 31 and 60th positions.
Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” which is written by Tem ranks at #63 on the 2023 Billboard Hot 100 Year-End Chart. This is Rihanna’s first time on the chart since 2018 (with “Lemon”, #83).
