Album Sales: Aidonia’s ‘Occupied Mind’ Masicka’s ‘Generation Of Kings Still On Billboard Reggae Chart

Aidonia‘s “Occupied Mind” sold 100 copies in the US during its first week according to data provided to WMV by Luminate. The album released on December 8 did not record any significant streams in the US during the last two weeks Luminate said, as a result did not make the weekly Billboard chart.

“Occupied Mind” compilation released independently via Banga House Music Group, only features Govana on the single ‘Thug Luv’.

Singles from the album charted on Apple Music’s in several countries across the Caribbean. ‘Faith’ peaked at #22 in Jamaica, #66 in St. Vincent and The Grenadines, #98 in Saint Kitts and Nevis, and #99 in the Cayman Islands and #69 position in Jamaica on Deezer’s Daily chart.

While ‘Socrates,’ peaks at #19 in Jamaica, #77 in St. Vincent and The Grenadines, and #87 in Saint Kitts and Nevis on Apple Music. On Deezer, it holds the #42 spot in Jamaica. Another notable track from the album, ‘Caught Up,’ is at #28 in Montserrat and #35 in Jamaica on Apple Music.

The 23 track set which has productions from Crash Dummy, Jades, Cash Flow Rinse, Emudu, Quantanium, Build Beats and Darshan. Red Boom Supermix, and Chimney Records is currently charting on Apple Music at #10 in Antigua and Barbuda and Jamaica, #12 Belize, #15 St. Vincent and The Grenadines, #19 Saint Kitts and Nevis and #97 Cayman Islands. On iTunes the album is #5 in Bermuda.

Meanwhile Masicka‘s sophomore album “Generation Of Kings” has sold an additional 2000 album equivalent units (TEA/SEA) in its second week according to Luminate. Of that amount 100 per pure copies and 2.7 million in on demand streams. That was enough to push the album downing spot to No. 3 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart for the week ending December 23.

The album has sold 9000 album equivalent units over its lifetime including 700 due copies and 13.9M on demand streams in the US.

Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley and The Wailers is recorded one of its highest weekly sales to land at No. 1 for 205 weeks

“Best Of Shaggy: Boobastic Collection” by Shaggy is at No. 2. Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock Re-Enters at No. 4 and Dutty Classics Collection at No. 4

Stick Figure’s “World On Fire”, “Set In Stone” and “Wisdom” are at Nos. 5, 8 and 9 respectively.

UB40’s Greatest Hits at No. 7.

Byron Messia’s “No Love” holds on at No. 10.
