Once Upon a Riddim…
In the enchanted kingdom of YouTube Jamaica, where views are gold and riddims wield power, a mystical Rvssian force known only as Story Book Riddim rose again. From its pages came three charting warriors — Valiant, Vybz Kartel, and Skippa — each armed with song of the summer verses.
But just as the kingdom prepared for a battle between legends, a cloaked figure named A!MS appeared from the mist, carrying nothing but a smooth hook and 542,500 streams. The charts were shook. The riddim had competition.
This week’s Jamaica top 20 WMV YouTube Chart is a Dancehall fairytale brought to you by Courvoisier.
🥇 1. A!MS – “Need Somebody” (Debut)
Streams: 542,500 | Weeks: 1 | Peak: 1 (x1)
The mysterious hero enters the story and immediately steals the crown. No alliances, no riddim buff, no warning — just clean, calculated charisma. Like the rogue in the second act who ends up saving the realm with a surprise bridge verse.
🥈 2. Valiant – “Passenger Princess” (Story Book Riddim)
Streams: 523,266 | ▼ -134,208
Our fallen prince. Once seated on the throne, Valiant now glides down to second. Maybe his princess took the aux cord and skipped him. Still, this riddim’s magic keeps him firmly in the royal circle.
🥉 3. Vybz Kartel – “Story Book” (Story Book Riddim)
Streams: 518,898 | ▲ +76,026
The original Storyteller. Kartel’s quill is sharper than ever, and this page-turner keeps climbing the charts five weeks deep. This isn’t just music — this is prophecy in Auto-Tune.
4. Chronic Law ft. cjthechemist – “NY Girls”
Streams: 242,403 | ▼ -18,509
Still repping New York, still holding it down like a subway rat with Wi-Fi. Eleven weeks in, the girls still got clout, but the algorithm’s acting like it’s cuffing season.
5. Skippa – “Toxic” (Story Book Riddim)
Streams: 238,542 | ▲ +25,250
The chart’s resident chaos agent. His toxic energy is up 25K — so clearly the fans love a little danger with their riddim. This track is the messy love triangle that fuels the second act betrayal.
6. Lila Iké – “Romantic”
Streams: 201,270 | ▼ -63,177
From fairy tale to tragic novella. Once a chart-topping romance, now it’s giving “late-night voicemail you regret in the morning” energy. Still, we’re rooting for her character arc.
7. Moliy – “Shake It To The Max (FLY Remix)”
Streams: 184,819 | ▼ -13,070
Week 26 and still winding. This tune has longer legs than a telenovela villain and refuses to exit stage left. Keep shaking, queen.
8. Armanii ft. Malie Donn – “8:00 PM”
Streams: 175,570 | ▼ -27,790
Down a bit, but this late-evening anthem still sounds like the soundtrack to your ex texting “u up?” Don’t answer. Just vibe.
9. Masicka – “Mute”
Streams: 173,539 | ▼ -6,343
He speaks softly and carries multiple chart entries. Masicka stays lurking like the plot twist you should’ve seen coming. Say less, stream more.
10. Kant10t – “Rags to Riches”
Streams: 171,127 | ▲ +44,821
This week’s official glow-up. Like the side character who trains hard off-screen then shows up mid-fight glowing and levitating. Cinderella in Clarks.
11. Terry Bennett – “Hello (Reggae Version)” (Debut)
Streams: 169,497
What if Adele had dreads and a Dubplate? Terry says “Wah gwaan from di oddah side” and we’re here for it. The most unexpected link-up since peanut porridge and bacon.
12. Jamal – “Girls Are Drugs (G.A.D)” (Debut)
Streams: 152,909
Debut alert. Wild title, addictive track. Side effects include playlist obsession, missed calls, and quoting lyrics in your Instagram captions.
13. Amaria BB – “Bonjour” (Debut)
Streams: 137,623
Bonjour to the charts, and bon voyage to filler tracks. Amaria enters with French spice and soft power. Let’s see if she stays for tea and turns the page.
14. Najeeriii – “Cloud Nine”
Streams: 128,275 | ▼ -39,406
Falling from grace like a balloon at Grand Market. Down big, but hey — clouds always float back up, right?
15. Malie Donn – “Body Tea”
Streams: 127,892 | ▼ -11,001
Still steeping. Still hot. Might not be boiling this week, but this tea still has flavor. Careful — it burns late.
16. BABYMONSTER – “HOT SAUCE”
Streams: 125,924 | ▲ +2,052
Creeping up the chart like Scotch bonnet on your fingertip. Korean-Jamaican hybrid heat with a slow burn. We love to see it.
17. JC Lodge – “Signal Dub Mix”
Streams: 124,613 | ▼ -87,819
Last week’s surge turned into this week’s dropped call. Wi-Fi gone, vibes buffering. JC, hold the line.
18. antuwang – “Energy Up”
Streams: 124,564 | ▼ -29,753
Energy was up. Now it’s more “midday nap” than power-up anthem. Still above 100K though — keep the lights on.
19. Squash – “Know Bout Dat”
Streams: 118,925 | ▼ -6,679
16 weeks strong, Squash is the unbothered veteran. Might not be flashy, but he’s not leaving the storyline anytime soon.
20. Masicka – “Whites” (RE-ENTRY)
Streams: 112,493
And just like that — he’s back. Masicka re-enters the chat like a villain who faked his death and now controls the board. The man is a stream-powered sorcerer.
