The album has 15 tracks including 1. “Lose Ya Breath” 2. “Grip” 3. “Funk Rave” 4. “Fria” 5. “Meme” 6. “Love In Common” 7. “Aceita” 8. “Double Team” featuring Bad Gyal and Brray 9. “Savage Funk” 10. “Joga Pra Lua” featuring Dennis and Pedro Sampaio 11. “Cria de Favela” 12. “Puta Cara” 13. “Sabana” 14. “Ahi” featuring Sam Smith 15. “Mil Veces”

Annita won 2 awards at the 2024 “Webby Awards” in the Games category (Anitta Squad) and the Viral Marketing category (Powered by potatoes). She is the first Brazilian artist to win the trophy.

The singer announce that in addition to the album being released on Friday, fans will be treated to a new music video for the song GRIP at 12pm ET.

The singer is getting support from America pop stars with hotel heiress Paris Hilton sharing the album on Instagram stories saying,”I can’t wait to hear Anitta’s new album. I love you, sister.”

Anitta’s “Funk Generation”(Republic/Unuversal/Latin) is her upcoming sixth studio album, set to release on April 26, 2024, blending Brazilian funk with Spanish, English, and Portuguese languages. Following her previous album “Versions of Me” and EP “À Procura da Anitta Perfeita,” Anitta’s new album was teased in June 2023 with the lead single “Funk Rave.”

Despite delays, the album features “Funk Rave,” along with other singles like “Mil Veces,” “Joga pra Lua,” and “Double Team.” Each single showcases vibrant music videos, diverse collaborations, and a mix of international influences.

She told Variety, “’Funk Generation’ is an album where I celebrate my roots. It’s where I express the power of Rio’s funk in every track its unique, danceable, and sensual beats. It’s a rhythm born in the favelas, where I grew up, and it exudes resistance and art in every community. I’m proud to work on a project about a genre that has been unfairly stigmatized in Brazil but is slowly gaining recognition worldwide.”
