BabyMonster made their debut in November 2023 with the music video “Batter Up” amidst YG Entertainment’s turbulent period following the departure of BlackPink and G-Dragon. Despite being dubbed as BlackPink’s sister group, BabyMonster struggled to gain traction in the industry.
Their latest release, “Sheesh,” has also faced challenges, initially failing to break into the top 100 on major Korean music streaming platforms such as Melon.
HYBE’s newest group ILLIT has seen significant success with their debut song “Magnetic,” topping charts in Korea and sparking viral trends on social media. That music video has only 23 million views on YouTube.
Following their milestone of reaching 10 million streams in just 10 days with ‘BATTER UP’, ‘SHEESH’ has now witnessed a notable surge in streams globally, hinting at promising future trends.
