Paris, March 19, 2026 — Global music company Believe has announced a major milestone for its newly launched publishing division, securing a long-term worldwide publishing agreement with legendary artist Janet Jackson. The deal brings Jackson’s entire songwriting catalogue under the umbrella of Believe Music Publishing, marking a significant expansion of the company’s influence in the global music rights space.

This partnership underscores Believe’s growing ambition in music publishing, positioning itself as a forward-thinking platform for both iconic and emerging songwriters. For Janet Jackson—an artist whose career has shaped modern pop, R&B, and dance music—the agreement represents a new chapter in managing and expanding the legacy of her work.

Jackson’s catalogue is one of the most celebrated in music history. With over 180 million records sold worldwide, she ranks among the best-selling artists of all time. Her accolades include five Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award nomination, alongside numerous American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards. In 2025, she received the American Music Awards’ prestigious Icon Award, further cementing her enduring cultural impact.

Beyond music, Jackson’s influence spans film, television, literature, and philanthropy. Her self-titled documentary “Janet Jackson.” drew more than 20 million viewers in its first week, reflecting her continued relevance across generations. She also holds the record for the highest-grossing debut tour in history and remains a dominant force in live entertainment, including her highly successful Las Vegas residencies.

Executives at Believe Music Publishing expressed strong enthusiasm about the partnership. Peter McCamley, Vice President of Publishing, described Jackson as “one of the most influential and important songwriters in music,” emphasizing her distinctive creative vision. Chris Meehan, CEO of Publishing at Believe, echoed this sentiment, calling her “a one-of-a-kind artist” whose catalogue will play a pivotal role in shaping the division’s future.

The deal also highlights Believe Music Publishing’s mission to empower independent creators. By combining global expertise, advanced technology, and a personalized approach, the company aims to provide songwriters and rights holders with the tools needed to grow, monetize, and sustain their careers in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Founded as a global artist development company, Believe operates in over 50 countries with more than 2,000 employees. Its services span distribution, marketing, audience development, and now publishing, all designed to support artists at every stage of their journey. In 2024 alone, Believe artists generated over 800 billion streams worldwide and earned more than 70 major industry awards.

This agreement with Janet Jackson signals not just a strategic win for Believe, but also a broader shift in the music industry—where legacy artists increasingly seek innovative, flexible partners to manage and amplify their work in the digital era.
