Global superstar asserts business ownership as Cécred expands into the United Kingdom, marking her return to the magazine’s cover after 20 years.

NEW YORK, October 26, 2026 — Global music icon Beyoncé is making a bold statement about entrepreneurship, ownership and creative independence, declaring that she is the founder, visionary and sole investor behind her Cécred haircare brand as she graces the October 2026 cover of British fashion and culture magazine i-D.

“I’m the founder, visionary, and sole investor—not the face or model for this brand,” Beyoncé declares in a statement featured prominently in the publication’s special Cécred edition.

The striking magazine cover features Beyoncé wearing a luxurious white fur-style ensemble, complemented by jewellery and white high heels. Her textured, wet-look hairstyle takes centre stage against a grey backdrop, with the publication’s signature neon-green lettering creating a dramatic visual contrast.

The editorial marks Beyoncé’s return to i-D magazine 20 years after her previous cover appearance and coincides with Cécred’s expansion into the United Kingdom.

In announcing the special edition on Instagram, i-D described the entertainer as a musician, founder and artist, revealing that she discusses her hair, her family and her love for London in an exclusive interview.

The cover was photographed by Blair Caldwell, with colour direction by Mason Poole, hairstyling by Neal Farinah, makeup by Francesca Tolot and styling by Shiona Turini. The accompanying interview was written by Eni Subair.

Cécred’s journey began long before its official launch in February 2024, with roots in Beyoncé’s childhood and her family’s connection to the haircare industry. Her mother, Tina Knowles, was a hairstylist and salon owner, and Beyoncé grew up surrounded by the conversations, techniques and experiences of women caring for their hair.

That early exposure would eventually help inspire Cécred, a haircare company developed around the principles of hair health, restoration and scientific innovation. The brand was introduced with a collection of cleansing, conditioning and treatment products designed to address the needs of different hair types and textures.
