The singer announced new music in a Verizon ad titled “Cant Be Broken” where Beyoncé attempted to break the telecoms service and at the end of the commercial, the legendary singer ended up breaking the internet after saying “drop the new music.”
The singer later took to her Instagram to confirm that she is, in fact, dropping a new album March 29 titled Act ii. Two songs were then made available.
The Queen Bey treated fans in awe with “16 Carriages” and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM.”
“16 Carriages,” released under her label Parkwood Entertainment LLC, in collaboration with Columbia Records, has a star-studded lineup of musicians, including Dave Hamelin, Atia Boggs, Gavin Williams, Ink, and more, the song offers a rich and immersive sonic experience. Co-written by Elizabeth Lowell Boland, Megan bülow, and Brian Bates, and also with production from Raphael Saadiq, Nathan Ferraro, and Rhiannon Giddens, the track is a vibrant fusion of genres. From the infectious basslines to the soulful piano melodies, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” is a testament to Beyoncé’s versatility as an artist.
Both tracks also boast impeccable production value, thanks to the expertise of Stuart White, Colin Leonard, and the rest of the production team.
