The official music video for “Is This Love” by Bob Marley & The Wailers has surpassed 100 million streams on YouTube. The song released on the 1978 album Kaya is one of the key tracks on the record breaking compilation album “Legend,” which is going int its 175th week at No. 1 on Billboard Reggae Albums chart.
The music video was shot like a children birthday party in the former Keskidee Centre in the UK and features young Naomi Campbell made her public appearance.
“I remember being really nervous, being brought to this room to meet Bob Marley and I was like ‘I don’t want to meet him, he’s got worms in his hair, he was so handsome, he had this presence very much like a lion,” Campbell recalled, per Standard.
Rihanna covered the Marley classic in her global Good Girl Gone Bad Tour. Another notable cover came from English singer Corinne Bailey Rae, whose rendition won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance at the 54th Grammy Awards.
Is This Love peaked at No. 9 on the U.K. singles chart where it is certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry. The Island Records release is also certified Platinum in Italy(50,000),as well as Gold in Germany(250,000), Denmark(45,000) and Brazil (30,000) for equivalent sales and streams..
