Bounty Killer’s US Visa Reinstated After 15 Years

Bounty Killer’s U.S. visa has been reinstated after 15 years, marking a triumphant return to the country. The dancehall artist shared his joy on social media, stating, “God is the greatest all the times despite how it may seem like in March 2010 my visa was revoked… fast forward 15 yrs later… i arrived in the states with no hassle.”

He expressed gratitude for the support he received, including from his late mother, the US Consulate General, embassy staff, his lawyer, and his dedicated manager, Paul ‘Bankey’ Giscombe, whom he thanked for “your relentless pursuit to restore my visa.”

Bounty Killer had his U.S. visa revoked in 2010, alongside other artists like Beenie Man, Sizzla, Aidonia, and Mavado. Despite other artists regaining their visas over the years, Bounty’s remained revoked, and in a 2024 interview, he described the situation as “devastating” to both his career and personal life.

He reflected, “I don’t even know how I survive… Most of my fans are in the US, and that’s where the music market is biggest, and I can’t even get to go promote my songs or greet my fans or even my family, my kids.”

Finally, Bounty Killer emphasized the importance of staying true to himself, writing: “I stayed true to myself vigilant and resilient.” His return to the U.S. marks the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
