Coachella got off to a nice start yesterday with performances from Big Sean, Jhene Aiko, Cordae, City Girls and more. One of the stand out performances came from Brazilian singer Anitta.
Anitta rocked the stage yesterday with a show stopping debut which featured rapper Saweetie.
Her highly-anticipated Coachella debut on Friday (April 15) paid homage to her Brazilian roots and culture for the duration of her 45-minute set.

After taking the stage at 6:07 p.m. she got the crowd hype with a video montage of the streets of Brazil with the Sergio Mendes‘ “Mas Que Nada” playing in the background. Then, her 20 strong troupe of dancers, made a grand entrance with Snoop Dogg introducing ‘the girl from Rio.’

After her performance she was spotted on a photo op link up was dancehall princess Shenseea and producer Murda Beats.

Anitta released her new studio album, Versions of Me, on Tuesday (April 12), the follow up to her 2019 set Kisses and marks her debut under Warner Records.
Although not billed on the show, Shenseea landed via private jet yesterday with her manager Sal Xo and team to be part of the Coachella experience for the first time.
Meanwhile Jamaican reggae singer Koffee is set to take the stage today at 2:00 pm.
