The first track from the Bad Boys: Ride or Die Soundtrack has been released by Epic Records.

“Tonight” by Black Eyed Peas x El Alfa featuring Becky G was released on all major digital music platforms May 11, 2024 ahead of the film’s June 7 release.

Additionally, a trailer teasing a mixtape with scenes from the film was released on Tuesday with the caption, “The mixtape is straight 🔥” and at the end is a rendition of Inner Circle’s “Bad Boys” the song from which the film is named.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the sequel to Bad Boys For Life 2020 and the fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise is directed Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett who unravel corruption within the Miami PD after their former Captain, Conrad Howard, is accused posthumously of ties to drug cartels.

Framed and labeled as fugitives, they are compelled to operate beyond the boundaries of the law to find the truth and crack the case.

Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Paola Nuñez, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tiffany Haddish, and Joe Pantoliano.

The full soundtrack is yet to be released but the Sony Pictures release is scored by Lorne Balfe.

The film comes following the impressive box-office performance of “Bad Boys for Life” during its opening weekend, Sony made public their intentions for a fourth installment, with Chris Bremner returning to pen the script. In April 2022, in response to the incident involving Will Smith’s altercation with Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony Sony’s chairman, Tom Rothman, affirmed that development for the fourth film was still underway, despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

Philadelphia musician Questlove disclosed that Smith had to forego a surprise appearance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards due to the commencement of pre-production for the fourth Bad Boys film earlier that week. Initially dubbed “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” as a working title by co-director Adil El Arbi, the film’s title was officially confirmed in early 2024.

Filming commenced on April 3, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia, and Miami, Florida. TMZ released behind-the-scenes footage of Smith and Lawrence filming in Atlanta on May 22, 2023. However, production was temporarily halted in July due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. In March 2024, it was disclosed that Jacob Scipio would reprise his role as Armando Aretas from the previous film. Filming concluded on March 4.

In the upcoming film, DJ Khaled returns to reprise his role, alongside Tasha Smith stepping into the shoes of Theresa Burnett, a role previously portrayed by Theresa Randle in the last three installments.
