Daddy Yankee releases new gospel song LOVEO, his second since converting to Christianity in November.
The born again artist shared this message translated to English to promote the song,
“Family! It’s now available on all platforms #LoVEO ❤️ This song has a very special meaning for me. Just as I told you, I hope that when you listen to it, it fills your spirit, your soul, and puts you in a good tune with the spiritual and with the Lord ✝️
God bless you ✨

This decision to become a Christian, made public during his farewell tour, La Meta, took many people in the industry by surprise after he earned worldly success with hits like “Gasolina” and “Con Calma,” featuring Snow. However, Daddy Yankee expressed a sense of spiritual fulfillment in embracing his newfound faith saying, “Family: This day for me, is the most important day in my life.. tonight I recognize and am not ashamed to tell the whole world that Christ lives in me and that I will live for him. This is the end of one chapter and the beginning of a brand new one.”
The announcement coincides with his involvement in a copyright infringement case regarding the use of the “Fish Market Riddim” in numerous reggaeton songs, including his own by dancehall pioneer Clevie who is also a converted Christian.
