EDM artists Chase & Status and Bou’s latest dancehall single, “BADDADAN” climbs up ten spots to No. 21 on the U.K. singles chart after two weeks. The song’s title means “tougher than” in Jamaican parlance and the duo blended their unique drum and bass signatures with added vocal brilliance of Irah, Flowdan, Trigga, and Takura.
With a deep 90s style dancehall flow, the entire song is done in patois over EDM and dub beats.

The chorus repeats:

The release follows their 2022 their hit Disconnect with Becky Hill, which peaks at No. 15. Their 2022 album, ‘What Came Before’ featured Popcaan on the track “Censor” with musicans Irah.
Chase & Status comprises of Saul Milton, known as Chase and Will Kennard, alias Status.
In the early stages of their career, Chase & Status rapidly ascended the U.K. Dance Chart with hits like “Hurt You” and “Take Me Away.” Their entrance onto the UK Official Singles Chart was marked by the soulful anthem “Love’s Theme” in 2005.
