Those are the words of the intro to Stefflon Don‘s diss track titled “Dat A Dat” aimed at Jada Kingdom, whose other moniker is Twinkle, released at 7:00 PM UK Time January 8, on Rvssian’s Dutty Money Riddim.

The song comes less than 24 hours after Jada Kingdom took to TikTok in a live rant on Sunday, asking the top-selling UK Dancehall artist who she was referencing when she released a teaser to the track on Saturday night.

The “Hurting Me” singer says it wasn’t her she was talking but if the cap fi she should wear it. She says “if you nah sing no song no @ me.” A reminder to her fans that the essence of dancehall and hip-hop culture is the battle and clash, as she drew for a raspy tone to make Kingdom the subject of the song from start to finish.

Within 20 minutes of Stefflon Don releasing “Dat A Dat” on YouTube, Jada released a snippet of a slow song in Instagram with lyrics aiming at the “Alone” artists saying “When it comes to me money me aguh punctual/stop play Inna me face me anuh likkle gyal/ me wi shot you fi a doll wah you tek me fah/ anything a anything cah me haffi feed me fam/ I am causing mayhem, them always fuck with people fuss then try fi blame them/ but all wah a gwan me still a wait bon my replacement/ any competition present me a erase them….Gyal a claim seh dem a Don a wah me miss” with the caption, “Suh yuh confirm you tryna beef over a man OK this is weak.”

In the unofficial snippet Jada takes aim at Stefflon Don’s ethnicity saying, “full yardie, me nuh half breed, wake up the East Side cause a f*cking stampede.”

Both Jada Kingdom and Stefflon Don are yet to release their debut albums, but Stefflon Don, born Stephanie Victoria Allen, is the most successful female dancehall artist of all time with 9 UK charting singles and her Secure EP is peaked at No. 35 on the UK Albums chart.

As Jada questions Steff’s heritage in her teaser verse, the 32 year old Birmingham hit maker is the only second generation female of Jamaican heritage to earn Platinum certifications in Canada for a song released in the last 20 years, with the collaboration “Alone” with Hasley and Big Sean. Chart data also reported that the song is Platinum in the US as well.

Stefflon Don has since responded to Jada’s diss snippet saying, “Good puss Twinki da freestyle was 🚮and dem seh mi fi fraid its ok tho they do say Coke makes everything seem better than it is.”

Jada, who got her breakout in 2018, is yet to earn a chart placement in either of the major music territories. Her debut EP, E-Syde Queen, was released in 2020. She confirmed during her TikTok live that she indeed did date Burna Boy, Stefflon Don’s ex-boyfriend.

Listen to “Dat A Dat” up top.
