Legendary dancehall producer Dave Kelly will finally show his face on stage at the Red Bull Culture Clash set for November 2 at the National Arena in Kingston Jamaica. The elusive producer, who is the backbone of ’90s dancehall with riddims like Showtime and Bug, will be leading the team “Madhouse Experience,” which includes Baby Cham, Fame FM DJ Captain Collin Hinds, CopperShaun, Game Changaz Stainy, and Brandon.

Kelly and his Madhouse Records label have produced songs for Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Shaggy, Spragga Benz, and just about every major act from the 1990s in Jamaican music.

 

Red Bull Culture Clash is makes a return to Kingston, Jamaica, after a five-year hiatus. Inspired by the island’s iconic sound system culture, the event will feature four crews battling head-to-head in a four-round competition. Each crew will take over a stage in their corner of the venue, delivering heavy tunes, unreleased tracks, fierce competition, and surprise guest appearances. The audience will have the final say, deciding which crew reigns supreme.

Madhouse Experience will be up against Big Bad Soca headed by Soca sensation Voice The Artiste from Trinidad. This crew brings together a mix of veteran and emerging talent including Voice The Artiste, Bobby Killa, Mun-Ra, Salty, Akeem 5.0, Travis World, Major Penny, DJ Elon.

Jamaica Wi Seh: Led by producer DJ Frass, features social media sensations The Original TC, DJ Banka, ZJ Chrome, Chris Dymond.

Coming in from the U.K. is the Lon Don Crew fronted by British-Jamaican rapper Stefflon Don, this crew blends the sounds of Dancehall and London, paying tribute to Dancehall’s influence on the UK music scene.

Crew Members: Stefflon Don, DJ Mac has been making waves in dancehall over the last two years with hits like Drift and just about eebvry song by Valiant, Fada Shella, Slap Weh, Wayne Ed, Junior Killa, Shaka.

In 2019, there were on stage clashes between Shenseea and Jada Kingdom who were budding stars.
