Grammy nominated singer Davido will released his collaboration with YG Marley titled ‘Awuke’ on October 31. The Afrobeats track was first previewed in Paris on stage with Ms. Lauren Hill and YG Marley at Accor Arena.
It will be the Nigerian hitmaker’s first release as lead singer in 2024 and follows YG’s breakout success of the single “Praise Jah In The Moonlight” released last November.
Davido made several high-profile guest appearances, including remixes of Kizz Daniel’s “Twe Twe” and BoyPee’s “Ogechi.”
He recently worked with Angelique Kidjo on the Grammy-submitted single “Joy” and a feature on Darkoo’s “Right Now” with Jamaican producer Rvssian.
The multi-award-winning artist has also teased an upcoming track with Nigerian star Omah Lay, with no official release date yet. These releases will usher in a new chapter for Davido, whose fourth album, Timeless, debuted at No. 37 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. While chatting with American content creator Kai Cenat, Davido revealed his 6th studio album is complete, promising fans 15 tracks and six features.
