Kim Porter and Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children—Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila—have issued a public statement addressing ongoing rumors about their late mother, especially concerning her tragic passing and her relationship with their father, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The children took the opportunity to clear up misinformation and express their pain over the loss of their beloved mother.

The statement comes amid swirling rumors that Kim Porter had written a book before her death, a claim her children firmly deny. “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” they said.

Porter, who died in 2018 from lobar pneumonia, was the subject of the unauthorized memoir titled Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice From the Other Side.

The children, two of whom are in their twenties made it clear that anyone speaking publicly on behalf of their mother or family is not doing so with their blessing. “Please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart,” the statement adds.

The children described the devastating impact of losing their mother, calling it a shattering experience. “Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed.” They explained that while it has been incredibly difficult to cope with her loss, they have found solace in the knowledge that the cause of her death has been clearly established. “The cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play,” they noted, asking for peace and privacy as they continue to mourn.

Al B. Sure!, the biological father of Quincy, has called for an investigation into the death of his ex-wife Kim Porter in light of the recent legal troubles facing Sean Combs. Al B alleges that Porter’s death was a “tragic murder” and that evidence was covered up. Sure also claims Porter was set to reveal damaging information similar to what Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura did in her own legal battle with him. Diddy, who was recently arrested on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, has denied all allegations, and his attorney dismissed the memoir as a “shameless attempt to profit from tragedy.” Al B. Sure! maintains that there are missing devices that contain crucial evidence about Porter’s death.

Counter to Al’s position, the children’s statement expresses deep frustration with how the world has turned their personal tragedy into a spectacle. They voiced their disappointment at the harmful and sensationalized conspiracy theories circulating about their mother’s death, saying, “We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives.” They called for the public to remember their mother for the “beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was,” rather than allowing her memory to be distorted by baseless claims and rumors.

In closing, Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila made a heartfelt plea for respect and peace, both for their mother and for their grieving process. “We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves.” The children’s love for their mother remains evident throughout the statement, which ends with a moving tribute: “We love you and miss you, Mommy.”
