New developments in the Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial as conflicting statements were made in court on May 21 regarding Virginia ‘Gina’ Huynh, a former partner of the music mogul who has previously accused him of abuse. While Combs’ defense attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told the court that Gina is “out of the case” and “not coming,” prosecutors swiftly pushed back, stating plainly, “She’s in the indictment.”
Agnifilo added, “They could get her here and they’re choosing not to. I’ll submit a letter by 10 p.m.,” implying that federal prosecutors are intentionally avoiding her appearance in court despite her inclusion in case materials.
This development follows earlier courtroom moments where Gina’s name surfaced multiple times—most notably during Cassie Ventura’s testimony and cross-examination. In a tense exchange recounted by Inner City Press, Cassie stated:
“I wrote, I don’t need you to be taking take [sic] care of Kim and Gina. I needed you to put me first… You lied to me, she never went away. It was the nail in the coffin.”
Estevao (Diddy’s counsel): “You meant Gina, the photo?”
Ventura: “Yes.”
Gina was also referenced during testimony from Kerry Morgan, another key witness. When asked if he learned about Gina, Morgan replied, “Yes,” further indicating Gina’s relevance to the broader allegations of abuse and manipulation involving Combs and women in his circle.
Adding further context, a resurfaced 2019 interview video featuring Gina Huynh has re-entered public discussion. In the clip, she claims Diddy physically abused her, stood on her, and caused her to miscarry—a statement now echoing louder in the wake of federal testimony.
Judge Arun Subramanian has yet to rule on whether the defense’s letter will impact future witness proceedings.
