DJ Paradise Fuses Reggae and Electronic Beats in “Very Royal”

DJ Paradise, is a fresh face DJ making moves in the UK music industry to become a producer and his latest track is “Very Royal.” The song, a fusion of electronic beats and reggae, he intends to use as a stepping stone into music production.

In an exclusive interview, DJ Paradise shared the inspirations and creative processes behind this unique blend.

Inspiration Behind the Fusion

When asked what inspired his ingenious fusion of electronic beats with reggae in “Very Royal,” DJ Paradise explained, “What inspired me was producing ‘Very Royal’ by Jah Clarity. I knew it was a great record due to the positive feedback I was receiving. However, since reggae is not at the forefront of everyone’s minds currently, I knew I had to create something classic with an original sound.”

The Decision to Re-Release “Very Royal”

DJ Paradise also told us the reason for his decision to re-release “Very Royal” as a collaborative effort with Sir Nutz. He shared, “The decision was very easy because Sir Nutz was part of the making process of the first version of ‘Very Royal’ by Jah Clarity. We had so much fun in the studio creating that track that the Drum and Bass version came naturally to us. We just went with the energy in the studio, and now we have created an unmatched formula.”

Blending Up-Tempo Dance Beats with Reggae

Blending an up-tempo dance beat with the soulful essence of reggae posed its challenges. DJ Paradise tackled this by remaining true to the authentic reggae sound and balancing it with a melodic Drum and Bass vibe. “We remained true to the authentic reggae sound and balanced the track with a melodic Drum and Bass vibe, which worked perfectly. Additionally, having a major producer help out gave us that real bassline sound,” he said.

The Unique Appeal of Personalized Dubplates

A distinctive feature of “Very Royal” is its origin as a personalized dubplate for a wedding. DJ Paradise explained how this personalized touch elevated the track’s appeal: “The song was originally created as a dubplate for a wedding, a custom song from a husband to his wife as a surprise. It was very well received at the wedding. This inspired us to release a commercial version of the song for others to appreciate, adding to its appeal and uniqueness.”

Witnessing “Very Royal’s” Impact

Reflecting on the journey, DJ Paradise highlighted the most rewarding aspects of seeing “Very Royal” make its mark within the musical community. “The most rewarding aspect was seeing people at a wedding singing the song like an anthem even though it was just released,” he shared. Other rewarding aspects include having a major producer help out on the track, receiving positive feedback from mainstream DJs, making headlines in major newspapers, gaining significant streams and views on social media, and receiving praise from well-known celebrities.
