Doja Cat, Shenseea’s Management Label-mate Says “I Quit..”

Doja Cat

Hip Hop pop star Doja Cat took to twitter yesterday to announce that she will be quitting music and that she is not built for the industry.

She was scheduled to perform as part of the Asunciónico festival in Paraguay earlier this week, which was canceled due to flooding. This caused some people on Twitter to express disappointment and complained that she didn’t stop to take photos or meet with fans outside her hotel in Paraguay.
The pop diva then tweeted “I moved on I’m just gonna let everybody be mad,” “I’m not taking pictures again with anybody else after this tour.”
She wrote, in response to a tweet “I don’t give a f**** anymore, I f***ing quit, I can’t wait to f***ing disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and I’m a f***ing fool for ever thinking I was made for this this is a f***ing nightmare unfollow me.”
She later tweeted, “I’m out. Y’all take care.”
The Boss Bitch singer has since deleted the tweets but changed her twitter name to “I quit still”.
She had tweeted an apology about her performance Thursday in Brazil’s Lollapalooza.
“I don’t think I gave Brazil a good enough show tonight at all and I’m sorry for that but thank you guys for coming out I f***ing love you and thank god we got another show tomorrow I promise I’ll do better.”
As of Friday, Doja was currently still slated to perform another set in Brazil.
her final remaining tweet on the subject of quitting simply states, “This shit aint for me so I’m out. Ya’ll take care.

Doja is second only to Taylor Swift as the most streamed woman on Spotify.

Doja shares management label with Jamaican dancehall princess Shenseea who recently released her debut album Alpha. Shenseea announced last July in a now deleted instagram post that she has a new manager, Lebanese-Canadian industry executive Wassim ‘Sal’ Slaiby.

She said, “Allow me to introduce my new manager @salxo ,” Shenseea wrote. “I’m Happy to have one with such dynamic character on my team! We’re about to unfold a new chapter! More hard work, more determination but with the same God LET’s GO XO! .”

Under Sal’s management Shenseea performed at two Rolling Loud Festivals and got appearances on Kanye West’s Donda album which is up for Album Of The Year at the Grammys. She collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, Offset and Tyga on her debut album Alpha.

After experiencing industry backlash for the direction of her new music and the salacious video for Lick, Alpha was released March 11, selling on 845 pure copies and 4900 total unit consumption in its first week according to Luminate.

Sal is the co-founder of XO Record label and also manages The Weeknd, Ty Dolla $ign, M.I.A., Brandy, Bebe Rexha, French Montana, and Diddy.

Nicki Minaj was previously in talks to join his team up to last September but earlier this month the Hard White rapper shared in a sit-down interview with Joe Budden that she is starting her own management company and record label. “I am creating my own management company,” she said. Minaj also shared that she first decided to create her own management company for herself but that she ultimately wants to bring others along for the ride.
