Amidst all the drama Drake is currently facing in the U.S., the Toronto-based rapper is set to take a break and head to Australia for his much-anticipated “The Anita Max Win Tour” in February 2025. The 6 God made the announcement on Thursday via social media and his official website.
The tour will kick off on February 9 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, where Drake will perform two back-to-back nights at the 15,000-capacity venue. Incidentally, on the same day, his rival Kendrick Lamar is set to perform at the Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show in New Orleans.
From Melbourne, the tour, promoted by Live Nation, moves on to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena for shows on February 16 and 17, followed by performances at the Brisbane Entertainment Center on February 24 and 28. The tour will conclude with a final stop on March 1 at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.
Tickets for Drake’s The Anita Max Win Tour will be available through presales starting Tuesday, December 3, with general sales opening on December 6 at 12 p.m. local time.
The tour takes its name from a viral moment during Drake’s December 2023 livestream on Kick, where he introduced his new “alter ego,” Anita Max Win. The name is a playful reference to the gambling term “max win,” referring to hitting the highest payout on a slot machine.
Drake first teased the tour on November 24 during a livestream with gaming streamer xQc, announcing, “February 9th, for anybody watching from Australia, I’m coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years… Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast… February 9 ’til like… March something.”
He was last in Australia and New Zealand for the Boy Meets World Tour in 2017. In August, Drake also revealed plans for a forthcoming collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, who recently shared on Instagram that the album will be finished after his last tour show.
