Drake Gets Love In Australia, Gifts $45,000 to Fans at Melbourne Show

Drake is getting much needed love on his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia continues , with the rapper handing out $45,000 to fans during his first Melbourne show at Rod Laver Arena on February 9.

The spontaneous act of generosity came as Drake acknowledged signs in the crowd, a tradition that has become a staple of his recent performances.

One lucky fan, whose sign read “Adonis for President”, received $25,000 from Drake in honor of his seven-year-old son. Another fan, celebrating their birthday, was gifted $20,000 along with a fully covered dinner for them and their friends. Drake even extended an invitation for both fans to return for another show.

“Australia, I love y’all. Melbourne, this is real love,” Drake told the crowd as cheers erupted throughout the arena.

This isn’t the first time Drake has shown love to his fans Down Under. At his Perth show, he gave away another $40,000, offering two fans $20,000 each to travel anywhere in the world.

Beyond the giveaways, Drake used his platform to deliver a heartfelt message about gratitude and resilience. “There’s a lot of people in here that might be going through some sh*t,” he told the crowd, encouraging them to show kindness to one another.

Musically, the Anita Max Win Tour is a deep dive into Drake’s expansive catalog, blending chart-topping hits with fan-favorite deep cuts. His Melbourne setlist included songs like “Hotline Bling,” “Rich Baby Daddy,” and “Jimmy Cooks,” alongside classics such as “Marvin’s Room” and “Over.” The tour’s production features a floating catwalk stage, allowing for an immersive experience for fans in the arena.

The Melbourne performance also came one day before Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, where Lamar performed “Not Like Us,” the Mustard-produced diss track aimed at Drake. Despite the ongoing rap rivalry dominating online conversations, Drake remains focused on his Australian tour, with more shows scheduled in Sydney and Brisbane through March.

Drake’s collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, is set for release on Valentine’s Day. Over the weekend, he teased a new track, “Crying In Chanel”, continuing his long-standing musical partnership with PARTYNEXTDOOR.
