The internet thinks Drake is having a baby with former 106 & Park host Keshia Chanté, but his rep denies it.
Speculation surrounding the longtime friends erupted after Chanté, 38, announced that she is pregnant and expecting her first child, a baby boy. The Canadian singer and television personality revealed her pregnancy with a maternity shoot, while keeping the identity of her child’s father private.
“Thank you God 🤍 To my sweet baby, I am sooo in love,” Chanté wrote while announcing the news. “I can’t wait to meet you! I am grateful and honored you chose me to be your mommy.”
She added that both she and the baby’s father are looking forward to becoming parents, writing, “Mommy & Daddy are so excited to welcome you into the world.”
With Chanté not publicly naming the father and online speculation suggesting he may have ties to the music industry, social media users quickly began connecting Drake to the pregnancy. The two Toronto natives have known each other for years, giving the rumor even more traction online.
However, Drake’s representative has firmly shut down the speculation.
According to TMZ, The Agency Group, which represents the rapper, “completely and unequivocally” denied claims that Drake fathered Chanté’s baby, describing the rumors as inaccurate.
Chanté, who hosted BET’s 106 & Park alongside Bow Wow from 2013 to 2014, said she has spent her pregnancy imagining the memories she’ll create with her son.
“I’ve spent every day daydreaming about you and all the fun adventures I want to take you on,” she wrote. “I’m so excited to make holidays special, create beautiful memories and experience life through your eyes.”
Drake and Chanté dated in the past and he is already a father to son Adonis, whom he shares with Sophie Brussaux.
For now, Chanté has chosen to keep her baby’s father out of the public eye.
