Everyone is asking why Usher and P!nk deleted over 11,000 tweets on X (formerly Twitter). Both artist at age 45 are now on their individual tours, but the Twitter cleans of Usher Raymond IV’s account sees over 7000 of his old tweets dated while Pink, real name Alecia Beth Moorere removed 4000 posts.
The abandonment of their tweets follows the high-profile arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Usher’s former mentor who helped to produced his debut album.
It is not clear why P!nk deleted her tweets but she an Usher has a long relationship as she mentioned in a previous Instagram post.
Diddy was arrested on Monday, facing multiple charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently held in a Brooklyn jail without bail after being denied release twice by 2 Federal judges.
The pair’s relationship dates back to the early days of Usher’s career when Diddy, serving as a mentor and even legal guardian, helped produce Usher’s debut album. With Diddy now embroiled in controversy, stars previously associated with him have also come under increased scrutiny.
Usher’s Instagram remains intact, leading to further speculation from fans about his intentions.
Usher’s Past Remarks About Time Spent with Diddy
The resurfacing of a 2016 interview with Howard Stern has only added fuel to the fire. In the interview, Usher recalled staying at Diddy’s house when he was just 14, noting that he witnessed “very curious things” during that time. Usher admitted to Stern that the experiences were wild and confusing for someone so young, adding, “I don’t know if I could indulge and even understand what I was looking at.”
When asked if he would allow his own children to attend a “Puffy Flavor Camp” — a term Stern jokingly used — Usher responded emphatically, “Hell no!”
The clip has been making rounds on social media again in the wake of the charges against Diddy, fueling further discussion about the singer’s relationship with the disgraced music mogul.
Justin Bieber’s Connection to Diddy Also Scrutinized
Usher isn’t the only artist under scrutiny following Diddy’s arrest. Justin Bieber, who was mentored by both Usher and Diddy, has also had old videos resurface. In one video posted on Justin’s YouTube page, which has 73.5 million subscribers, Diddy can be seen boasting about spending 48 hours with a teenage Bieber to show him a taste of the luxury lifestyle.
Diddy claimed in the video, “I don’t have legal guardianship of him, but for the next 48 hours, he’s with me. We’re going to go full buck full crazy.” Neither Bieber nor Diddy has ever disclosed details about their time together.
Diddy’s Arrest and Charges
Diddy’s arrest followed an indictment by a federal grand jury, charging him with racketeering, sex trafficking, and related crimes. The indictment details a disturbing pattern of abuse toward women and others, citing instances of violence, coercion, and sexual exploitation. The charges include reports of physical assault and transportation of individuals for prostitution.
Diddy remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with his next court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
