Dancehall star Aidonia has officially been granted his UK visa and work permit, paving the way for his highly anticipated return to London after an 18-year absence from the United Kingdom.
The lyrical heavyweight who performed at the Barclays Center in New York last Saturday, is set to headline SANDZ LONDON, the UK edition of the internationally acclaimed Soak’d Pineapple x SANDZ Music Festival, scheduled for August 16 and 17.
The successful visa clearance was secured through Tameka Reynolds of Reynolds Entertainment Agency (@reynoldsentertainmentagency), whose expertise also led to permits for two other standout Jamaican acts: Elephant Man, making a triumphant return to UK stages, and Jada Kingdom, who will be making her SANDZ UK debut.
SANDZ LONDON is part of the Ultra Weekend series, co-produced by Sandz Caribbean Music team (@sandzfestival) Ourthing Global Entertainment, Twenty14, Palm Nations (@palmnations), and Soak’d Pineapple:
In confirming the major lineup update, Dwayne Hines of Palm Nations told WMV:
“Fans can expect a world-class experience celebrating Caribbean culture in its purest, most vibrant form. We’re proud to bring these icons back to the UK stage where their presence has been missed for far too long.”
