Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones” Featuring Sia Surpasses One Billion Streams on Spotify

Flo Rida’s hit single “Wild Ones,” featuring Sia, surpasses one billion streams on Spotify.

This achievement marks his third single as a lead artist to reach the milestone following Low featuring T-Pain and My House. It is Sia’s 8th.

Released on December 19, 2011, “Wild Ones” was the title track of Flo Rida’s fourth studio album. The song quickly gained worldwide popularity with its infectious beat, high-energy production, and Sia’s soaring vocals. Produced by soFLY & Nius and Axwell, the track blends hip house and dance-pop elements, making it a defining song of the early 2010s club scene.

The song topped the charts in several countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Norway, while peaking at No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was also featured as one of the official theme songs for WrestleMania XXVIII.

“Wild Ones” is the 904th song to reach a billion streams in Spotify history.

Sia, who originally wrote the chorus for Katy Perry, eventually recorded the vocals herself, although she initially did not want to be credited as a featured artist.

Born Sia Furler, she originally planned to retire from performing before writing Wild Ones, but her success as a pop writer only made her more famous. Despite attempting to avoid the spotlight, hits for Rihanna, Katy Perry, and David Guetta, along with her own vocals on tracks like “Titanium” and “Wild Ones,” kept her in the public eye.

Her powerhouse performance helped define the song’s anthemic quality, making it one of her most notable collaborations before her rise to solo superstardom with hits like “Chandelier” and “Cheap Thrills.”
