“For All the Dogs” by Drake released September 22, 2023 is now certified Gold in the UK for selling 100,000 album equivalent units in streams and sales. The award was given on Friday January 5, 20124 by the British Phonographic Industry with data measured by the Official Charts Company.
The album gave Drake his sixth No. 1 in the UK upon its release as the Cash Money artist continues his UK chart dominance. His previous chart-toppers in the UK include “Views” (2016), “Scorpion” (2018), “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” (2020), “Certified Lover Boy” (2021), and “Her Loss” with 21 Savage (2022).
FATD also debuted at No. 1 on US Billboard 200 chart, and then returned to the top in the week ending Nov 23 when the ‘Scary Hours Edition’ was released after selling an additional 145,000 equivalent album units, with a significant 102% surge in streaming, according to Luminate. Billboard combines all versions of the album for tracking and charting purposes.
Following the release of his eighth studio album, Drake took a unique approach by releasing instrumental versions of the “Scary Hours 3” tracks, prompting fellow artists like Fabolous to showcase their rap skills over them. The Scary Hours album reigns supreme as the No. 1 album in 17 countries, including notable mentions on Apple Music in Jamaica, Bahrain, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands, Egypt, Grenada, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
Drake also earned a UK Silver Certification for the “Practice,” the seventeenth track on his second studio album, Take Care (2011). The song co-produced by Drake and his long time collaborator 40 with composition credits include Drake himself, Noah Shebib, Abel Tesfaye, Dwayne Carter Jr., Terius Gray, and Byron Thomas.
The song incorporates samples “Back That Azz Up,” performed by Juvenile (featuring Lil Wayne and Mannie Fresh), and written by D. Carter, T. Gray, and B. Thomas
