Masicka continues to set new records at an impressive pace with his sophomore album, “Generation Of Kings,” currently securing the top spot in 16 countries on Apple Music. This is an increase from just three days ago when it was charting in 13 countries.
The countries where the album is currently reigning at number one on Apple Music include Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Seychelles, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks and Caicos.
Released via Def Jam Records on December 1, “Generation Of Kings” is also making waves on iTunes, topping the charts in four countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Bermuda.
In addition to its success on Apple Music and iTunes, the album made a notable debut at No. 8 on the Spotify Op Albums Debut UK chart for the period of December 1-3. This achievement marks Masicka’s inaugural entry into the chart driven by streaming numbers, underlining the multi-continent popularity of “Generation Of Kings.”
Masicka became the first artist to chart 17 songs in the top 20 on Apple Music Jamaica, a record previsouly held by Valiant earlier this year. The singles from the album have claimed the top spot in various countries across the Caribbean. Specifically, “Stars R Us” is sitting at No. 1 in in Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, while “Reverse Time” is No. 1 in Jamaica and “Triumph” has secured No. 1 Cayman Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, and St. Vincent and The Grenadines.
The Portmore artistic currently ranked No. 32 in the global artist ranking with 918 points as the album charts at No.34 in Canada, No. 36 in the UK, No. 55 United States on the streams driven Apple Music Daily Chart. While on the sales driven iTunes chart it is at No. 82 in the US and No. 41 in the UK.
In more streaming updates Sean Paul earned just over 500 million streams across all credits on YouTube in 2023, making him the most streamed Jamaican on the platform this year. Sean ranks at No. 197 on YouTube’s most viewed artists globally. His top song is “Rockabye” with Clean Bandit which 2.8 billion views.
