DJ Khaled’s Jamaican connection is well established as he visits the country every year to shoot videos and record dub-plates. The artwork for his latest album “God Did” was shot on location on the island during his last ostentatious high energy visit. Jamaica has rewarded him with the No. 1 album in the country, as God Did outpaces Queen Of The Dancehall Spice who lands at No. 2 with Emancipated on the second day of release.
The album features a reggae single with 5 dancehall-reggae artists that has some people calling for a video.
These Streets Know My Name, is the follow up to the track Where You Come From featuring Buju Banton, Barrington Levy, Capleton, and Bounty Killer which was on his Khaled Khaled album.
Khaled replaces Barrington Levy with newcomer Skillibeng and adds Sizzla who all shine with some hardcore lyrics.
Thanks to a star studded line up of artist like Kanye West, Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Drake, “God Did” is currently No. 1 in 7 countries on iTunes including Cayman Islands, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United States. Khaled’s 13th studio album is also No. 1 in 78 countries on Apple Music.
