Grammy Award winning rapper Jeffery Lamar Williams, known professionally as Young Thug along with label signee Gunna plus 28 other defendants were this evening charged in a 56 count indictment in Fulton County.
The grand jury indictment charges all 28 members who are associates of “Young Slime Life” or “YSL” with conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, murder, armed robbery and participation in criminal street gang activity.
Thug was seen being whisked away by authorities on Monday.
According to the 88 page indictment, Prosecutors alleged that, “YSL is a criminal street gang that started in late 2012 in the Cleveland Avenue area of Atlanta. YSL claims affiliation with the national Bloods gang.”
Young Thug is specifically accused of renting 2014 Infiniti Q50 sedan from Hertz , which was used in the commission of the murder of Donovan Thomas, Jr., a rival gang member, on 1-10-15, according to indictment.

Thug is also said to be responsible for organizing a hit on fellow Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci who was stabbed in an Atlanta jail. YFN Lucci was himself among a dozen people charged in a wide-ranging indictment in Atlanta targeting alleged members of the Bloods gang last year.
He was part of a 105-count indictment that resulted from a six-month investigation, Atlanta Police Deputy Chief Charles Hampton said at a news conference. The charges includes racketeering, aggravated assault, murder, gun, armed robbery, property damage, theft and gang-related charges.
In 2018 A grand jury warrant was issued for Thugger in DeKalb County, according to a TMZ report published Monday (Sept. 10). The 27-year-old was hit with a total of eight felonies stemming from a number of drug possession-related charges.
The ATL rapper was arrested after originally being pulled over in 2017 for having his windows tinted. Law enforcement ended up finding much more in the vehicle, as Thugger was arrested for possessing an array of drugs and a firearm. Thug’s laundry list of final charges include possession and intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone, weed, Xanax, codeine and a gun.
Additionally, the Go Crazy rapper was arrested in August of the same year (Aug. 17) on a felony gun charge while celebrating his 27th birthday and the release of his Slime Language compilation project at a Hollywood Dave & Buster’s when police crashed the party. Gunna, 29 was also charged then.
Both Stoner Life artists are signed to 300 Entertainment and Young Thug’s YSL Records label.
