Travis Scott, Luke Combs, and Burna Boy are set to grace the stage at the 66th annual Grammy Awards, according to an announcement from the Recording Academy on Sunday. This dynamic trio joins the previously revealed lineup of artists, including Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo.
The Nigerian singer Burna Boy, a ten time Grammy nominees with one Grammy win, receives four nominations this year, including Best Global Music Album (“I Told Them…”), Best African Music Performance (“City Boys”), Best Global Music Performance (“Alone”), and Best Melodic Rap Performance (“Sittin’ on Top of the World”).
He becomes the first Nigerian to perform at the Grammys main event.
Luke Combs is vying for Best Country Solo Performance with “Fast Car,” while Travis Scott is in contention for Best Rap Album with “Utopia.”
Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, with six nominations each, stand out as two of the most-nominated artists, both remarkable for their youth at 22 and 20 years old, respectively. R&B sensation SZA leads the nominations with a total of nine. Following SZA, Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers (six nominations, including her collaboration with Boygenius and SZA), and mixing engineer Serban Ghenea share seven nominations each.
The Grammy Awards will be produced by Fulwell 73 Productions for the Recording Academy, marking their fourth consecutive year at the helm of the production. Executive producers for the show include Ben Winston, Raj Kapoor, and Jesse Collins.
The Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 8-11:30 p.m. ET / 5-8:30 p.m. PT, will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and available for streaming on Paramount+.
