American singer Jeremih has teamed up with HarbourView Equity Partners (HarbourView) to acquire select recorded and publishing assets from the singer’s catalog. The announcement, made on January 19, 2024, marks a significant expansion for the alternative asset management company into the dynamic world of music.
Jeremih, who recently completed a tour with rapper 50 Cent a celebrated is known for his break out hit “Birthday Sex” in 2009, and has consistently demonstrated a unique blend of R&B, hip-hop, and pop, earning him widespread acclaim. His chart-topping success includes “Birthday Sex,” peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2009. His self-titled debut album, released the same year, peaked at number six on the US Billboard 200.
In 2023, “Down on Me” featuring 50 Cent, earned sextuple platinum certification for selling 6,000,000 equivalent units after reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100. His sophomore album, “All About You” (2010), didn’t do well commercially but his 2014 single, “Don’t Tell ‘Em” featuring YG, became his third top-ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Subsequent singles like “Oui” and “Planez” (featuring J. Cole) received quintuple platinum certification by the RIAA, leading up to the release of his third studio album, “Late Nights: The Album” in 2015.
In 2018, Jeremih born Jeremy Phillip Felton collaborated with California singer Ty Dolla $ign to form the duo MihTy, and they released their eponymous collaborative album in October of that year.

Heidy Vaquerano and Cynthia Katz of Fox Rothschild LLP provided legal counsel for HarbourView in the transaction, while Jeremih was represented by Guy Blake and Granderson Des Rochers. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
