Harry Styles‘ “As It Was” is number 1 this week on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
“As It Was” is his the first song to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and the first by any act in 2022. It also has the titled of the biggest streaming week so far this year.
His hit “Watermelon Sugar” climbed to the top of the hot 100 for a week in August 2020.
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data.
The former One Direction member is the first to have multiple hits with “As It Was debuting at #1 on this week’s Billboard Global 200 singles chart with the biggest worldwide streaming week of 2022.
With millions of streams already racked up , Styles earned himself the Guinness World Records title for the most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours (male).
The song accumulated 16,103,849 streams in the first 24 hours on the Spotify.
From Australia to Venezuela, Iceland and the United Arab Emirates, 34 countries saw the single as their top track for the day.
In the USA the track surpassed 8.3 million streamers, surpassing Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” as the most streamed track on the first day in the United States.
The song also had 1,247,683 streams in the UK and 1,168,896 in Mexico.
