“He Believed in Me From Early”: Shenseea Reunites With Vybz Kartel and Rvssian on ‘Talk To Me Nuh’

Shenseea and Vybz Kartel Release “Talk To Me Nuh”

Two-time GRAMMY-nominated Jamaican artist Shenseea has released the first single from her forthcoming album “Talk To Me Nuh”, featuring dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel. The track, produced by Rvssian, was released on Friday, March 13 via Since 93/Columbia Records.

The song which is infused with dancehall and Brazilian Funk, follows their US Reggae iTunes chart topping single Panic which was released two weeks ago on February 20. It brings together Shenseea and Kartel almost 10 years after their first collaboration “Loodi,” which played a role in introducing Shenseea to a wider audience.

The official video for the track was directed by Oshane Junior, known professionally as Director Shane Creative of 4Fortyfour Atelier.

“Talk To Me Nuh” arrives as both artists have been nominated for Best Caribbean Music Act at this year’s MOBO Awards.

Speaking about the collaboration in a statement sent to World Music Views, Shenseea said the song marks a reunion with someone who supported her early in her career and helped introduce her to the dancehall scene: ‘It feels amazing to be reunited with someone who not only helped shaped the genre, but has also played such an important role in my music journey. He believed in me from early and was one of my introductions to the scene. I’m excited for everyone to hear this track – it’s just the beginning of what I have coming this year.’

The two artists are also scheduled to perform at Reggae Land Festival this summer alongside acts including Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, Shaggy, and Tarrus Riley.

Since its release, “Talk To Me Nuh” has debuted on several iTunes charts, including:

  • #19 Netherlands

  • #31 France

  • #65 United Kingdom

  • #82 Germany

  • #88 United States

  • #158 Italy
