Pop star Dua Lipa and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah were spotted cozied up on Wednesday night.
The “No Lie” singer and the South African comedian were photographed enjoying an intimate dinner at Miss Lily’s, Jamaican restaurant in the East Village, New York City and stopping on the street afterwards to hug and kiss.

Lipa, 27, and Noah, 38, seem to be more than friends nearly one year after Lipa broke things off with Anwar Hadid, in December 2021. Noah previously dated actress Minka Kelly from 2020 to 2021 and singer Jordyn Taylor from 2015 t0 2019.Dua Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2014 and released her debut album eponymous three years later. The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and spawned eight singles, including “Be the One”, “IDGAF”, and the UK number-one single “New Rules”, which also peaked at number six in the US.
Her 2020 album Future Nostalgia earned six Grammy nominations—including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year—and became her first UK number-one album. The album helped the singer win British Female Solo Artist and British Album of the Year at the 2021 Brit Awards. She has received many accolades, including recognition on the Time 100 Next list.
Her “No Lie” collaboration with Sean Paul has surpassed one billion views on YouTube, five years after its release. It’s the Jamaican superstar’s first song as a lead artist to enter the billion views club on the video-sharing platform.
The 49-year-old Grammy Award winner told World Music Views in a text interview in April that he was happy that his music continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.
“Feels good to know that you can do songs and they just grow and grow and grow,” he said. “Cause when it [No Lie] first came out that was a dope song. Nuff people loved it. It went on a lot of likkle streaming vibes and it just kept going. So awesome!”
The No Lie video had surged in popularity in 2021, racking up 239 million views that year, according to data gathered by World Music Views after amassing just 124 million in 2020. It had picked up most of its views (275 million) in 2017—the year of its release. The hypnotic video, which featured Sean and Dua singing and dancing in mirrored rooms, was directed by Tim Nackashi, who is known for his work with Maroon 5, OK Go, and Icona Pop, among others.
Meanwhile Trevor Noah will be touring his home country South African next year. The comedian announced the Trevor Noah Live in South Africa tour, sponsored by Savanna Premium Cider, will take place between August and September 2023.
Noah is currently doing live tour dates in North America but says he can’t wait to return to his home country.
“I’ve been away from the Mzansi stages for too long, and so much has happened- i’m excited to be back in front of a home crowd,” he said about the upcoming tour.
