Released on January 9, 2017, as the second single from his eponymous debut album, “In Case You Didn’t Know” quickly captured the hearts of listeners with its heartfelt lyrics and soulful melody. Co-written by Young alongside Trent Tomlinson, Tyler Reeve, and Kyle Schlienger during a creative retreat in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
“In Case You Didn’t Know” debuted at number 45 on the Hot Country Songs chart in August 2016, eventually peaking at number two for a record-setting 16 consecutive weeks. Additionally, the song claimed the number one spot on the Country Airplay chart for the week of June 10, 2017, marking Young’s first number one hit.
