Malie Donn Dethrones Valiant From Apple Music Jamaica Chart’s Top Spot With “V6”

For the first time in six months, dancehall artist Valiant does not have the top song on Apple Music Jamaica. Malie Donn’s Ireland Boss produced song V6 ends Valiant, the TikTok breakout sensation’s 182 day reign at the top where had several No. 1 songs on Apple Music Jamaica during the period.

Valiant however still has 3 songs in the daily top 10 including his latest Tic Tac Toe with Rvssian, Tommy Lee Sparta, Expensive and Glock 40 with Eclipse.

With no album set for release as yet, the Diplomats Deejay started dominating the Jamaican YouTube and Apple Music charts from as far back as November 12, 2022 after his “Kotch E Hat” slang became viral on social media.

In the week on November 25 on YouTube in Jamaica his music videos for Sciance, St. Mary, C.A.L. Cut All Losses, North Carolina, Dunce Check were at No. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 respectively. Valiant was the first artist to achieve 5 songs in the top 5 in Jamaica on YouTube.

A similar showcase happened Apple Music Jamaica on November 25, 2022 as well where he had 7 songs including features in the top ten.

The DJ would eventual have 12 songs in the top 20 at one point and even edging out top International acts like Drake and Taylor Swift for the Jamaican streams.

Other singles on Apple Music Jamaica’s Daily chart for April 15, 2023 are Kraff Gad’s Calmc at No. 4, Najeeriii – SINTRAP (Giftcard)#5 , Byron Messia’s Talibans #6, Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj’s Princess Diana debuted yesterday at No. 6 but moves down to No. 7 today, RajahWild’ Powder at No. 8 and Snooze by SZA at No. 9.
