Dancehall femcee Jada Kingdom has earned her first Apple Music Jamaican No. 1 song with “What’s Up (Big Buddy)” just two days after its release. The song debuted at No. 6 in the island within 24 hours of its release and has since climbed to the top spot replacing RajahWild’s “GoGo” which is on the same “Dutty Money Riddim” produced by Rvssian. Apple Music’s Daily chart calculates streams by territory based on real time consumption.
The achievement comes a day after the released of her last diss track “Staff Lazarus” aimed at rival dancehall lyricist Stefflon Don which promoted to “Hurting Me” singer to fire off a series on Instagram post accusing Jada offing a liar.
Persons on social media declared Jada to be the winner making “Jada Kingdom” the No. 1 trending topic on twitter on January 10 and 11.
One person posted a Meme of Loius Ranking’s Shotta’s movie villain character ‘Teddy Bruk Shot” as Stefflon Don saying “You gone too far Biggs,” which was the final scene in the movie when Biggs played by Ky-Mani Marley killed the character drug dealer.
Other said they can’t wait until the two make up similar to Vybz Kartel and Mavado whose Gully vs Gaza Lyrical dispute ended at Champions In Action concert with the two on stage.

The beef between the two talented singers started when Jada Kingdom confronted Stefflon Don four days ago on Instagram, questioning her about lyrics in a teaser for the song she had titled “Don Cullinan” set to be released on the Dutty Money Riddim. The teaser led to speculation about potential targets, with some people on social media suggesting it was Jada Kingdom.
In response, Stefflon Don changed the lyrics to the song and added Jada name and released the song the following day. The imminent tongue in cheek between the two heavy set feisty Jamaicans has been brewing since by Burna Boy, Stefflon Don’s ex-boyfriend, bragged about buying a Birkin for Jada Kingdom.
Jada accused Stefflon of being a coward on TikTok, but also expressed pride in her as dancehall’s most streamed female artist. The situation has now become complex, with legal proceedings mentioned, and it is not known whether Stefflon will respond to Jada’s last song with lyrics or a libel lawsuit.
The two released a total of five clash songs over past five days with Steff London first releasing “Dat a Dat”, then Jada Kindom released what she said was a ‘tester’ track- on a slow hip hop freestyle. She quickly released “London Bed” and Steff London replied with “Dead Gyal Walking.” After which Kingdom released “Steff Lazarus.”
From the free media attention covering the war of words all over the world, 25 year old Jada also earns her first YouTube No. 1 in Jamaica for the song “London Bed,” the diss track to Stefflon Don which had debuted at No. 3 yesterday on the YouTube Daily chart in Jamaica. The song earned an additional 208,634 local views on YouTube, an increase of 65,000 over the previous day’s streams.
Jada Kingdom’s last single to reach top 5 in Jamaica on YouTube was the Stephen McGregor produced track “GPP” which peaked at No. 4 in August 2022.
Meanwhile Stefflon Don’s ‘Dead Gyal Walking’ has made its debut on YouTube Jamaica at No. 7 with 96,891 local views and No. 19 in Guyana. Kingdom’s “What’s up (Big Buddy)” is at No. 9 on YouTube Jamaica.
