The ex-boyfriend of Jamaican dancehall songstress Jada Kingdom, Nasir Valenzuela A.K.A Nas EBK has been arrested and charged for murdering a man in New York’s busy Times Square last month.
The drill rapper is accused of getting into an argument with 22-year-old Idressa Siby, on February 9 at the corner of 44th Street and 8th Avenue in Times Square where tourist gather in the city. The argument is said to have escalated with EBK allegedly shooting Siby, striking him on the right side of his chest according to AMNY. The New Jersey police department picked him up on Friday (March 10) and handed him over to NYPD in Midtown Manhattan.
The injured Siby succumbed to his injuries at Mt. Sinai West after running from the scene. In a video circulating on social media he was seen gettin assurance after the shooting.
Police report that the pair knew each other and Siby was indeed the intended target. Nas EBK, 19, is charged with murder in the second degree.
He proclaimed his innocence on Instagram on the day of his arrest with an imaged saying “INNOCENT.”
The arrest arrives just weeks after Nas EBK was charged with terroristic threats and assault over a YouTube prank video that was filmed at a local grocery store per Hip Hop DX.
Last September the rapper gave Jada Kingdom a promise ring which caused an uproar in the dancehall community
