Kartel Music Rebrands as K Music, Embraces Global Vision for Mexican Sound

Santa Maria, CA – May 19, 2025 — Kartel Music, the independent record label founded in 2019 with a mission to elevate Mexican talent beyond borders, has officially rebranded as K Music. The change signals a new global vision while maintaining a strong connection to cultural roots, according to an announcement shared by the label on Instagram.

K Music is home to some of the most influential names in contemporary Mexican music, including Luis R Conriquez, Tony Aguirre, Joel de la P, and Dinamicos Jrs. The label has played a central role in the explosion of regional Mexican sounds, especially as the genre reaches new heights in the U.S. and global markets.

Luis R Conriquez, a flagship artist for the label, has remained one of the most streamed artists in Mexico on Spotify for over two years and was the third Mexican artist ever to appear on the cover of Billboard Magazine. His hit single “Si No Quieres No” charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent over six months at No. 1 on Spotify Mexico’s daily Top 200.

Co-founder and CEO Fredy Becerra stated, “This name change marks an important milestone for our team and artists. K Music will continue to champion Mexican talent and culture while expanding our international ambitions.” The rebrand includes a new logo and visual identity that honors the company’s heritage while projecting its future-forward approach.

Tony Aguirre, another major artist under K Music, commands a listening base of over 7 million on Spotify. He has been instrumental in launching the careers of artists like Luis R and Xavi, collaborating with them from their early stages. Aguirre recently released a new version of “Ayer Te Pedí” with Víctor García, which quickly entered YouTube’s Top 10 daily chart.

Other standout talent includes Joel de la P, whose track “Dembow Bélico” with Luis R and Tito Double P has gained widespread attention for its fast-paced lyrics and genre-blending style, and Dinamicos Jrs, a traditional-meets-modern group active in both Mexico and the U.S.

According to Leonardo Soto, CFO and co-founder, “We may have a new name, but we’re still the same company at heart. K Music remains committed to advancing Mexican music culture around the world.”
