Keisha Cole is set to headline Sashi, a three day Hip Hop and dancehall festival founded by music impresario Horatio Hamilton. The concert event that previously featured the likes of Snoop Dogg and Eve is making a return May 23-26, 2024 at Plantation Cove, St. Ann Jamaica.
The announcement was made the launch for the event on Tuesday March 26 at the Sky Dwellers Ardenne Road Jamaica.
World Music Views first announced the festival’s return of the festival after 22 years.
The inaugural staging of the event attracted over 6000 patrons and by the time of the last staging over 25,000 thousand people were in attendance.
In 2002, Sashi hosted a star-studded event in Jamaica featuring the likes of Usher and Busta Rhymes. The festivities included various activities and parties, gaining international attention.
Busta Rhymes makes a return to this year’s event.
He is joined by Neyo, Jadakiss, and Bounty Killer as the major headliners.
Among the new crop of dancehall artist to grace the Sashi stage for the first time will be Tifa, Rajah Wild, Bayka, 10 Tik, Skeng, Valiant, Tommy Lee and Kraff.
Before the main event there will be a fashion show on May 23 and a sound clash sound clash dubbed Sashi Synergy on May 24 featuring A beach party will also be held on May 26.
