The battle of the rappers has moved to streaming, as Kendrick Lamar reclaims the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Spotify Top Artists chart, dethroning Toronto superstar Drake.
In a historic feat, Lamar becomes the first rapper to surpass 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, solidifying his dominance in global streaming.
Following his electrifying Super Bowl performance, Lamar achieves another unprecedented milestone—he is now the first rapper in history to have three albums simultaneously chart in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.
His latest album, GNX, returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week, marking its second week at the top and recording its biggest sales week since release.
Meanwhile, good kid, m.A.A.d city re-enters the top 10 for the first time since November 2012, surging 71% in sales, while DAMN. achieves its first top 10 placement since March 2018, with a 93% sales boost.
Lamar also becomes the first artist to hold the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 in both the 2024 and 2025 calendar years, reaching a milestone of 10 cumulative weeks at No. 1.
