Koffee Is Ready For Rihanna’s Super Bowl Performance

Grammy award winner Koffee says she is looking forward to seeing Rihanna perform at the Super Bowl this Sunday February 12. She was speaking to Complex Magazine as she walked the Red Carpet of the 65th Annual Grammy Awards where she was nominated for her second Grammy for her debut album Gifted in the Best Reggae Album category.

Koffee said: “Umm actually, weirdly, I want to hear Believe It by PARTYNEXTDOOR featuring her,” when asked which song she was most looking forward to Rihanna performing.

 

 

Rihanna shared her love for Koffee in 2019 when she was seen turning up to Koffee’s turntable hot “Toast” after Buju Banton’s “Long Walk To Freedom” concert in Barbados.

Koffee’s – “Gifted” was the most commercially successful new project by a reggae act in the U.S. last year according to data provided to WMV by Billboard sales trackers Luminate.

The album released March 25, has so far clocked 223,000 album equivalent units(with SEA, and with TEA).This includes pure album sales of 1,600 (equalling total on-demand streams (audio + video) of 340 million.)

The Colombia/RCA recording release debuted at number 2 on the Reggae Billboard chart on the week of April 5 with 3500 total units sold in the US in the first week according to Luminate. At the time the album did 700 in total album sales and 3,290,800 streams in one week. Koffee’s “Gifted” also debuted at number 9 on the UK top 100 albums chart.

The album landed at number 5 on the UK physical albums chart and that gave Koffee the distinction of being the first female Jamaican to make the UK albums chart top ten.

Fans React To Rihanna’s Super Bowl Predictions

Last week thousands of fans of the Barbadian super star Rihanna reacted to the possibility of a reggae medley in the Rude Boy singer’s Super Bowl LVII Half -Time Show set.

WMV reported that there were speculations and predictions in the Vogue Magazine and other online fan news outlets that Skip Marley along with dancehall superstars Shaggy and Sean Paul could be joining the Pop diva on stage.

A “reggae medley” according to @thepoptings could be part of the half time proceedings during one of American TV’s biggest nights.

Fans who have long dubbed Rihanna a Jamaican have reacted by saying, “full Jamaican line up, love to see it“.

Others have tweeted a photoshopped Jamaican driver’s license of the Barbadian billionaire.

 

Other have predicted that Rihanna’s reggae album is imminent.

 

The Super Bowl LVII will see its TV audience exceed 100 million viewers in the U.S. for the first time since 2018 according to Variety.

The top American sporting event returns to Fox on Feb. 12, riding the momentum of a season in which the league’s ratings strength was on full display.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII marks the first championship matchup since 2017’s LII to feature two No. 1 seeds, one led by NFL golden boy Patrick Mahomes. 


The Apple sponsored halftime show marks the first time for a partnership with the tech giant as Rocnation megastar Rihanna also makes her first live appearance in five years. The singer is set to announce when her new album will be available on Apple Music.

The Barbadian billionaire beauty confirmed that she would be the headline act for Super Bowl 2023 half time show last September. Days after Taylor Swift reportedly turned down the offer until she is done re-recording her music from her first six albums.

Rih Rih posted a picture of her hand holding a football on her instagram.

Her way of confirming that the February 12, 2023 event will be headline by the Caribbean native.

Roc Nation later posted the same image-on their Instagram account, writing, “Let’s GO,” and tagging Rihanna and the NFL, while adding the hashtag “#SBLVII.”

Vogue Magazine also speculated that the singer is could bring out Eminem with whom she has the RIAA 13x Platinum single “Love The Way You Lie.” Predictions rest of her brining out Super Bowl Half Time show organizer Jay Z.

Jamaican-American actor Sheryl Lee Ralph will be singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the pregame show of Super Bowl LVII.

Last November Ralph also joined Rihanna in her Savage Fenty Show Vol. 4 on Amazon Prime.

Sean Paul’s management has confirmed that they are yet to hear from Rihanna, Live Nation about a Super Bowl Half Time Show performance but stated it would be a good opportunity if it should happen.
