Harry Styles breaks Guinness World Record, Koffee slides off the UK albums chart

Koffee is not on the UK albums chart this week after debuting at number 2 on the Reggae Billboard charts with 3500 total units sold in the US in the first week. The album did 700 in total album sales and 3,290,800 streams. This follows Koffee’s number 9 debut on the UK top 100 albums chart.

Last week Gifted landed at number 9 on the UK’s top 100 albums chart 5 on the physical albums chart making Koffee the first female Jamaican to make the UK albums chart top ten.

Other women of Jamaican descent to climb the UK albums chart are Stefflon Don and Diana King.

Stefflon’s 2018 album Secure peaked at 35 and Diana King’s 1995 album Tougher Than Love peaked at number 50 on the top 100 chart.

Gifted got another break at No. 11 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, which ranks the sales by new and developing musical recording artists each week.

The UK’s Top 100 biggest artist albums of the week is compiled by the Official Charts Company, based on sales of CDs, downloads, vinyl and weighted audio streams.

In other chart news, “As It Was”, the newest single from the British singer-songwriter, Harry Styles has already racked up millions of streams, earning him the Guinness World Records title for the most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours (male).

According to Guinness World Record, The song accumulated 16,103,849 streams in it’s first 24 hours on the Spotify.

From Australia to Venezuela, Iceland and the United Arab Emirates, 34 countries saw the single as their top track for the day.

In the USA the track surpassed 8.3 million streamers, surpassing Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” as the most streamed track on the first day in the United States.

The song also had 1,247,683 streams in the UK and 1,168,896 in Mexico.

As It Was by Harry Styles is the top buzzing in the US and UK on YouTube. 

Still Life by Big Bang is top buzzing in Canada on YouTube.

We Don’t Talk About Bruno is the top song in the UK, US, Canada and globally.

In Jamaica
Ambala by Squash at number 5

Born Fighter by Jahshii at number 4.

Surgery by Silk Boss at number 3, History by Masicka at number 2. Taliban by Skeng and Stalk Ashley spends a third week at number 1.

 
Legendary By Daddy Yankee debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart in the top ten on the Billboard 200 chart.

Evolver by the Anitta is the top Latin song globally on Spotify. 
The Queen of Brazil announced her 15 track new album Versions Of Me will be available April 12.

 

Mainstream Sellout by Machine Gun Kelly is the top Billboard 200 album.
The featured artist this week is Skip Marley, the son of Cedella Marley and David Minto, he has received two Grammy nominations and an MTV Video Music Award nomination.
The young Marley is signed to Island Records. He is featured on, and co-wrote, Katy Perry‘s 2017 single “Chained to the Rhythm” which is certified 2x platinum in the US and platinum in the UK.
His other top songs are Slow Down with HER and That’s not True with Damian Marley.
