Kranium Mines Another Silver In The U.K. Even As He Exits Label Deal

Dancehall music continues to sell and be certified in the U.K. and the latest to achieve a milestone is “We Can” by Kranium and incarcerated singer Toney Lanez. The song is certified Silver in the U.K. by the British Phonographic Industry with data calculated by the Official Charts Company.

We Can was released on September 23, 2016 and it is the second collab featuring the two second generation Jamaicans to achieve the certification. Their other song “My One” with added features from Wiley and Dappy was certified Silver on May 8, 2020. We Can is also Certified Gold in Canada.

Kranium’s other Silver certification in the U.K. is his breakout single “Nobody Has To Know” with Ty Dollars $ign which has surpassed 120 million YouTube views.

The former Atlantic Records DJ bragged that he is finally free earlier this month as he was released from his record deal which produced his hits.

He shared on Instagram an image of himself with all his accolades with the long caption:

I was the only Dancehall artist signed to a major when I did the deal and it wasn’t easy being a dancehall artist based in New York City !!! although I had a lot of great moments I had terrible experience in the mix and thats what comes with taking chances !! With that being said I wanna thank @breeroyal_ for fighting for me in that building!! Over a Billion stream !! 3 silver in the UK! Certified Gold in America ! 3 Certified Gold and a Platinum in Canada that’s not a easy mountain to climb and we did that… but we finally come to an end of a dope partnership thanks to the Atlantic team and everyone that supported me .. A “NEW” journey has officially begin! #freedom #vibes #newyork

Nobody Has To Know is also certified Gold in the United States, and Platinum in Canada.

His other certification include Gold in Canada for Can’t Believe, with Ty Dolla $ign and Wizkid.
