‘Lets Do It Again’ by Californian Reggae singer J Boog has surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify. The song released December 21, 2010 is produced by Jamaican producer Donovan ‘Don Corleone’ Bennett and was the second single from J Boog’s BackYard Boogie album.
This is the Grammy nominated singer’s first song to reach the milestone. ‘Let’s Do It Again’ is certified Silver in the U.K. by the British Phonographic Industry for selling 200,000 single equivalent units of streams and sales.
The official music video for Let’s Do It Again has surpassed 88 million streams on YouTube.
It was a chance encounter with Hawaiian reggae singer, Fiji” with whom J Boog shared his mixtape in 2005 and the two thereafter teamed up Boog’s debut album “Hear Me Roar,” which made its entry into the Billboard reggae albums chart on March 1, 2007, eventually peaking at no. 8 on March 22, 2008.
J Boog’s career reached new heights in 2011 with the release of his self-titled EP, which climbed to no. 3 on the Billboard reggae albums chart in July of the same year. Subsequently, in October 2011, his second album “Backyard Boogie” made its debut at the top spot on the US Billboard reggae albums chart. This album also featured the singles like “Let Me Know,” and “Sunshine Girl.”
Continuing his chart success, J Boog’s 2013 EP titled “Live Up!” secured the no. 3 position on the reggae albums chart. In 2014, he collaborated with the Hawaiian singer Anuhea and the reggae band SOJA for the single “Easier.”
In April 2016, J Boog’s EP “Rose Petals” earned his second No. 1 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, further cementing his prominence in the genre. Then, in November 2016, Boog released his third album “Wash House Ting,” marking his first full-length album in five years, and it also secured the top position on the Reggae Albums chart, solidifying his status as a leading figure in the reggae music scene.
