Grammy nominated singer Davido and Jamaica rising star Lila Iké have joined forces for an exclusive collaboration titled “Flex My Soul,” presented by Billboard and Honda Stage. This original track blends Davido’s signature style with the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats and Iké’s soul-stirring melodies, promising an electrifying and uplifting experience for listeners.
The two singers dressed in contrasting red (Lila) and mustard (Davido) sang the track in a picturesque landscapes surrounded by dancers in for a video directed by Loris Russier.
World Music Views first announced that Iké who is still singed to RCA Records under Protoje’s Indignation imprint is set to release her debut album this year. She recently announced on Ron Muschett Morning Show in Jamaica that the first single from her debut will be a track with H.E.R.
She told Ron, “the first single is lined up Lila Ike and H.E.R, first single on me album look out fi it as soon as April step in.”
The “Where I’m Coming From” singer will be performing in the U.K. for four dates on March 28 at the O2 Ritz Manchester, March 29 – O2 Academy Bristol, March 30 – O2 Institute Birmingham and March 31 – O2 Forum Kentish Town – London.
Lila, renowned for hits like “Thy Will,” and “Stars Align,” was awarded Female Reggae Artist of the Year at the refreshed Caribbean Music Awards held in Brooklyn New York. Despite her absence at the event, she conveyed gratitude to the organizers and her supporters via social media, expressing appreciation for the recognition and promising even greater achievements in the future. “thanks so much @caribmusicawards I couldn’t make the show because I had to sort out the back to school treat.
